Perdicaris Park

Just outside Asilah, Tangier is home to the Parc Perdicaris or Jardin Perdicaris, dedicated to Ion Perdicaris, an American of Greek descent who lived in the area in the early 20th century.

The park, located on a panoramic hill overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the Bay of Tangier, covers an area of approximately 70 hectares, covered in lush vegetation typical of the Mediterranean region.

One of the most popular points of interest close to the park is Cap Spartel, a 10-minute drive to the west.

How do I get to the park from Asilah?

There are several options for getting to Parc Perdicaris from Asilah:

By car

The most convenient way to get to the park from Asilah is by road. The distance between Asilah and Tangier is around 50 kilometres, and the journey takes around 45 minutes depending on traffic. You can take the N1 road towards Tangier, then follow the signs to Parc Perdicaris. The road is very easy to get to. Here is the most recommended itinerary.

By taxi

You can take a taxi from Asilah to Tangier, then take another one to the park. Once you arrive in Tangier, taxis are readily available in the city and can take you directly to the park. It is advisable to negotiate the fare before getting into the taxi or to ask to use the meter.

By tourist bus

You can also take the popular Tangier tourist bus to Parc Perdicaris. From Tangier city centre, you can take a tourist bus to the park. Tickets cost around €15 a day. You can get on and off the bus whenever you like during your paid day.
